Kent Twitchell's Lost Michael Jackson Mural

Kent Twitchell's King of Pop at LOOK Gallery

In the early ’90s, Michael Jackson posed for American mural artist Kent Twitchell. The work was originally slated for feature on the side of the now El Capital Theatre building in California. But the piece was never shown.

But Michael Jackson has a way of making a comeback, and the 100 foot tall thriller was revived last year in April at the LOOK Gallery (California).

The sheer enormity of the thing is king. It’s mind boggling to think how much work this took.

Twitchell is known for his larger than life size realist portraits of celebrities, politicians and other infamous figures, most often exhibited in  public spaces, giving new life to city scapes.
